For the past month or so I’ve been encouraging people to follow me on Periscope so that when I am in Israel you can see broadcasts from some amazing places from the Bible that you might be interested to see. On past trips, I’ve posted a few blogs and pictures, but I’m going to try a different approach on this trip. I will be posting a few videos at some significant biblical locations.
So the plan was to use Periscope, but in the meantime Facebook has released their own live streaming option. Both platforms are great, but after weighing the pros and cons, I like Facebook better. So instead of using Periscope, I am going to broadcast from Israel using Facebook Live.
Just like Periscope, you can interact with me when I’m broadcasting on Facebook Live by asking questions, making comments, and liking the broadcast. What’s great is that even if you don’t catch the live broadcast, those videos will be saved on my Facebook timeline – so no more 24 hour time limit to watch. If you aren’t already a friend of mine on Facebook, friend me – and you’ll be alerted when I’m live on Facebook.
You can make a friend request by looking for “David Whiting.” You will likely find me as we probably have some common friends.
See you on Facebook Live!
