In a sentence or two, what does your job look like at Northridge?

I'm David's administrative assistant. Essentially, I get to do whatever I can to free David up so that he can do what only he can do for our church. 

Where did you grow up?
Henrietta, NY

Not for a Moment (Meredith Andrews), Downtown (Lady Antebellum — that's right, country music!), Learn Chinese Online (a podcast I've been listening to)

What’s your favorite ice cream?
Coconut Chip or White Raspberry Truffle from Bruster's

Where is the farthest you have ever traveled?
Xiamen, China, while studying abroad in college

What does an ideal day off look like for you?
Sleeping in, spending time outside in the sun, coffee or lunch with my husband or a friend, maybe some shopping 🙂 …

What is one thing about you people would be surprised to learn?
My husband's name is also Aaron, and both of our moms are named Patty.

What’s your favorite thing about Northridge?
Our mission is our actually our reality – MORE people are becoming disciples, and those that already trust Christ are becoming BETTER disciples.

What is your family like?
My husband (Aaron) and I have been married for 6 years.

Have you ever won anything? If so, what did you win?
When I was a kid I won a coloring contest at a store, and I got a $100 gift card. That's a LOT of money when you're a kid!

Have you ever collected anything? If so, what was it?
When I was young I collected baseball cards because I wanted to be like my big brother, and I collected candles until they melted on a hot summer day (bummer!)

Why did you want to work at Northridge?
I love being able to make a difference in people's lives, and in their eternities.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?
Probably on my phone texting, emailing, or on Pinterest if it's truly free time.

How did you meet your spouse?
We went to high school together.

What is one food that you will not eat?

What is your favorite type of exercise?
Group sports like volleyball or softball. Currently, I am attempting to train to run a 5K. (Note: attempting is the key word. I’m still a long way off! 🙂

What is one book are you reading right now? 
Stop Asking Jesus into Your Heart 
by J.D. Greear

What is one thing you love about Rochester?
All the festivals and events, and the coffee shops like Java’s and the Spot.

What was your first job?
I sold hot cocoa and gift baskets in a kiosk in the mall at Christmastime  

What’s your favorite sandwich?
Dibella's subs

What is your biggest challenge?
Enjoying the moment, and not moving on too quickly to the next item on my checklist

If you could meet anyone from the Bible (besides Jesus), who would it be and what would you ask them?
I would love to talk with Mary and Martha about the day Jesus came to their house. I think I'd have a lot to learn from them both. 

What’s your favorite restaurant?
Currently: Bonefish Grill

What is something God has been teaching you in recent days?
That His plan for my life is so much better than a plan I could create on my own. He's so faithful.
