Every year I try to buy a couple of new Christmas CDs for our family. Those who attend Northridge might be interested in two in particular (if you don't already own them).
Last week I mentioned Andrew Peterson's "Behold the Lamb of God." That has been a personal favorite of mine for a long time. Last Sunday Brittany sang a song from the CD ("Labor of Love"), and most of the songs on the CD will be used on Christmas weekend at Northridge. I am convinced you will enjoy the services even more if you are familiar with the CD. Last week, we sold out. As of this morning (Saturday morning), the new shipment hasn't arrived yet, but I am praying that it will. Stop into the bookstore to see if it is there, or buy the MP3s just about anywhere (It is $8.99 on Amazon.com).
The other CD I would recommend is "Northpoint Christmas." Last Sunday, three of the songs we sang as a congregation came from this CD ("Joy to the World"; "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", and "Angels We Have Heard on High"). All of them are traditional songs with a contemporary twist to them. We have plenty of these CDs in the bookstore.
