Cornelia Tiller is a Christian woman who has lived in Chad for about 20 years and speaks Arabic fluently. And let me tell you, it's hard to imagine being fluent in Arabic!
The World Concern team took her with them to Maramara recently to share the drawings and photos sent to them by Northridge Church and they thought we might like to see a few photos from their visit.
Cornelia has a lot of experience sharing the Gospel in Muslim areas and World Concern thought it would be a good experience for her to directly share with our community! I LOVE hearing that! The Gospel is truly starting to reach the village of Maramara! As you can see in the photos, the children and women spent a good amount of time with her and a new World Concern staff member, Rose, and it looks like they had a great time together!
Also, Nate Bantle and I hope to return to Chad in October. There is a new law in the capital of N'Djamena and the are enforcing strict regulations for foreigners traveling in Chad. By law we now have to stay in the capital for 24 hours before we can go to the village of Maramara, but we are hearing reports from World Concern and other NGOs of people being stuck in the capital for one to three weeks! Please join us in praying for this situation – if that doesn't change, we wouldn't be able to go to Chad at all.
