Here is one reason why community group are so important to us at Northridge:
Studies show that involvement in a small group or community group is vital for spiritual health. In fact, new Christians who get involved in community groups are five times more likely to be in church five years later than those who only come to worship services. Not in that church, but in any church.
We often tell people that within six month new people need to be serving in a regular ministry (weekly) or in a small group that meets weekly or they likely won't be at our church in one year. If they end up at another church that teaches the Gospel, we are okay with that, but many of them don't go anywhere.
That is one of the reasons that we push everyone to be in a community group at Northridge Church. Ideally, they are in a community group and serving on a weekly basis.
Our community groups begin again in two weeks. Are you in one? If not – express your interest on a Connection Card tomorrow. We can find one for you.
