There are two books that are free right now on the CBMW website (Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood).
If you've ever wondered about the roles of men and women in marriage, society and the church – these are the books for you! At Northridge, we believe the biblical position is that men and women are equal but have distinct roles. That is true in both marriage and in church leadership. These positions are extremely unpopular in our culture, and this book will help you think through them biblically.
The first one is a long book (almost 500 pages), but it worth having. Whether or not you ever read it, you can use it as a reference tool for certain topics and passages of the Bible. That book is called "Recovering Biblical Manhood and Womanhood." It was edited by John Piper and Wayne Grudem.
The second book is much easier to read and in length (67 pages). It is called "Fifty Crucial Questions: An Overview of Central Concerns about Manhood and Womanhood." It was written by John Piper and Wayne Grudem. This one is easy to read and will give you a good overview of the issues in the larger book.
